LORNE SCULPTURE bIENNALE
Fragments is a projection artwork that weaves together the artist’s memories of a lifetime spent in Lorne. It scatters moments in time - textures, emotions, and sensations - drawn from the rich, layered fabric that is this place.
Situated on the lands of the Gadubanud people, in the breathtaking Otway region, Lorne is a meeting point of elements: where lush green forests tumble down to the restless ocean. Here, furry land animals, slippery sea creatures, and human life coexist in a delicate balance, finding peace and solace in the rhythms of nature.
Fragments gathers these impressions and reassembles them into a digital, ever-evolving tapestry of light, colour, and movement—an abstract reflection of place, memory, and connection.
Commissioned for the 2022 Lorne Sculpture Biennale.
