GETRUDE STREET PROJECTION FESTIVAL
From 2008 to 2019, Angela made a significant artistic and curatorial contribution to Melbourne’s Gertrude Street Projection Festival (GSPF), playing a key role in guiding the festival’s artistic vision and fostering connections between artists and the local community. As both an artist and producer, she curated and produced a wide range of projection-based works, installations, and performances that celebrated light, space, and storytelling in the urban environment.
Angela was instrumental in the conception and realisation of the Atherton Gardens Precinct (AGP), a large-scale, community-focused zone that integrated light-based sculptures, pop-up installations, live theatre, and performance art. Through this project, she championed collaborative, site-specific works that connected emerging and established artists with local residents, transforming public spaces into immersive artistic experiences. Her curatorial vision emphasised inclusivity, innovation, and dialogue between art and community, helping to define GSPF’s reputation as one of Melbourne’s most dynamic and accessible public art festivals.
